First day of school. What can I say? Like M&Ms, a mixture of feelings.

Met Sherlyn on bus 12 after chasing for it! First day and I'm late for the bus, oh no. \:

Headed to the canteen and Kerla was already there. Then Jy, and Mw came. Then we headed to the assemble ground and it's like everyone don't want to sit in front, (I guess some things will never change eh). and I sat behind Jy :) 

Spot check and thank god I cut my nails in the morning!

No Morning Exercise.

Only one FT for the whole week.

4e2'09 is still using back the same ol' classroom which is on the 1st floor! Love it love it love it.

Spot check again when we returned to the classroom. I can lengthen my skirt! Hahaha. Ms Koh told us our subject teachers, and almost gave us a huge shock when she said she's teaching us English! Like :O !!!

Ms Koh changed our seats, now I'm sitting with Ara while Jy is sitting with Fiona. OMG JY I MISS YOU ALREADY. Did some admin stuffs. Zhenlu & Yujie are sitting behind me & Ara, so we were talking about really random stuffs. & Ara and I snap a few shots in class yay! 

& congrats to Derick for becoming Vchair! 

Went to the Com Lab 2 to do surveys and the computer lag like shit when starting up and I got really impatient hahaha. Did the surveys which were ......idk. Bloghoppped + Facebooked after that & Miss Tan didn't really care hahahaha (Y).

Recess and heng Jy & I went down early to avoid the long queues and crowd! :) The rest came shortly after. I lost my water bottle ack! ):

Went back the classroom to put our bags and saw the rest playing daidee haha. Went to the hall for the LEAPS talk by Ms Goh, and we went crazy over the ponyo song hahahahaha. Mw & G were sitting in front of us, lol. 

The CCA talk was the funniest ever when we couldn't guess the voice of Excel. While Anything & Sian were so obvious because Sian is Marcus while Anything is Babat. Turns out, Excel is Rizuan hahahaha. Not used the voice he used for this presentation, more used to the voice he did for formal occasions like emcees. Lol. Ms Goh mentioned Zhenlu who was sitting behind me, and he was asking me & Sam to block him hahaha but we didn't at all hahahha (yeah he poked me still). 

20th June is the date we're stepping down. Feels so short.

 

After the CCA talk, went back to the classroom, and we were given our timetable :D PE on Friday whoohoo, + last period is FT!!

Dismissed! Went to find Tay for lunch together though we didn't eat anything. She went to settle some stuffs first, then we left our bags in the canteen and went to the market tgt with Mw Cla & G to get bubbletea, saw Jy & Hy at the bbt shop hahahaa then tay&I went back to school first. Sat at the canteen and waited for choir to start.

At 2, went up to the music room but the Malay dance peeps were still using. Hung outside while watching the parody that Mw & I did when I last went to her house for HSM3 hahaha funny shit.

Got our new choir tee! :D Some say it looks like CocaCola design hahahaha but it does not lah! Went to changed out of our uniform and snapsnapsnap.

Ms Ho briefed us, and talk about plans in 09. Hope everything goes smoothly. Practised our song twice before we went up the stage to perform. 

Sec1s are not much of a scare, not nervous. at all. No kick eh. Went back to the music room and dismissed. Went to the hall just in time to see Modern Dance's performance. Great job great job! (Y)

Headed home. Sis was home with the aircon repair peeps. Watched Drake & Josh on Nicklelodeaon :D

Then later Sis friends came over and we played poker hahahah damn hilarious. Poker is fun! Then they left for dinner.

Headed to EastPoint to have lunch at Eighteen Chefs. Virgin trip there. It's funny how we're always at EP but never going there lol. 

Their baked rice is da bombz!!! Seriously. Am so going back there again!! (Y) to their student meal. Got ice cream some more, though its one scoop but still. (Y)

Went to Popular after that. Tay bought her stuffs, then we went to browse mags for horoscopes for the year 2009/this week. Some funny shit. Hahahah. So getting Teens Jan issue cus there's Jay Chou on the cover!!

Walked to the 12's bus stop and see Tay to her lift, so nice of me :) Lol

Slept like a pig on the way home. Shiok :D

Kor was being so roflmao, he called and ask me "what is DP?" and i answered "display picture" and he got a shock because no one in his office knows what it means and my answer proves their generation gap HAHAHAHAHA i don't understand why they're so afraid of being old. I know its not a good thing but still.

I chionged through my last lit essay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!

I woke up to any other Saturday. Only to realize I have a bbq at night, and that there's Hot Shot!

So lunch with sis & relatives at Parkway hawker centre and I had my fave yu pian zhou! Whoo, went to Watsons after that, shopped at Parkway. Sis bought sushi @ Ichiban for her party at night. Bought Mac's vanilla cone. Then carpool-ed home with the relatives around 3ish.

Home, went to Sis's friend, Fiona's cribz to drop the sushi in their fridge, my fridge no space ah thx to the bbq, lol.

Daphne came first! Watched teevee aka flipped channels and talked while waiting for the rest. Sorry babe my house got nothing to do. Showed her the new choir tee ^^

Helped Kor & gf & friends to bring the food & stuffs down. Then came back up. The next to arrive are Amanda sweetheart, Qy the wugui bf and Derick. Then Eeting & Diana came. Then Try came. Then Jana, Shaohua, Shaoting, Linchin & Yinghui came!

Went down to the pit with the remaining food and we just sat there. Played daidee with the old 2e1'07 peeps. Still remembered how there're so many 1e1'06/2e1'07 in choir. Good times, good times. Kor's friends were shocked that we can play daidee with 5 people HAHAHA. We kids are the pro yo! :)

Sat at the table, waited to be served, seriously. There was just food coming in. Talked, played cards, ate, bbq-ed marshmallows, drink, laughs, joked, ate some more, talked some more,

Sweetheart went up with me to get my Camel. Darl + bf came and luckily we were upstairs or else I couldn't open the door for her lol.

Cam-whore, have to use flash all the time, thanks to the night, trying to open my eyes, without warning, snap snap snap HAHAHA

Called Mama twice to ask about 3e2's sparklers! Found it. It was inside this bag together with the barney hats! HAHAHA Played with it. Used the charcoal to light up. Thank god we were done with bbq-ing by now. Smelled it. Coughing. Bleagh it. Sweetheart wore the Barney party hats with me. Good times good times eh!

Collected $, returned $, packed up, used the toilets, group shots, sent them to the bus stop. Daphne took 15 while the rest took 33.

Went back to the pit and help to pack up. Brought everything minus the charcoal haha up.

Tuesday (25/11): Went back to school to settle Choir's Sec 1 Orientation clothe's pegs. & to settle the choir tees, since the lady aka Jasmine's coming down to show us the samples.

Pretty slack aye. I like :)

Told Mw & Tay about my "opinions" HAHAHA I know "you" don't think that way la, hahaha.

& Tay & I did the choir pegs with XO on it, including our names, so you'll get XOXO :D hahaha.

Went home and Kor drove me to Beach Rd to get my camp stuffs, and we had lunch with a super big cup of sugar cane. best (Y) 

Astons for dinner w/ sisters + Mama and there was no queue hahahhahha but service a tad slow today. Hmmm.

Can you do me a favour?

So, I got my report book today. 

Can I say how much misunderstanding(s) there are between Mama and I? Is it the age gap? Is it the different generation thing? Thank god I have siblings.

Okay, so Ms Koh said really positive comments about me, a whole big chunk of encouragment, motivation and etc. I'm hardworking. I've got to be more hardworking. No one can see the hardworking part being reflected in my results. Its not being reflected. Why is that so? No one knows.

I'm disappointed that my CombinedHumanities is only B3, and that I'm only 21st in class, and 70th position for level, and that not many of my achievements are reflected this year. Would it be reflected next year? I don't think so.

& my Combined Science, I'm going to do concept maps, to organize my thinking, or else I won't know what I'm answering. I gotta brush up on whatever I'm unclear this year, so that I won't carry it forward next year. Yeah.

The rest are okay - expected, so not much of a surprise/shock there. 

Choir after collecting my report book. I'm damn late, but I have a valid reason. :)

Then after choir ended, lunched in the newly-renovated market. Had my favourite! Bought bbt too. Saw Jy & her mum, lol.

Walked back to school after that, saw Jy again. Then told her to meet us in the Music Room, then we went up first, and then we started the prank-calls again. Whoever I'm fine with calling, yeah we called. Idiot guys, all never pick up. -.-

"Can you do me a favour?" *bursts out laughing!!*

Cam-whored too. :D Jumpshots yeah!

Then around 2plus, we left the Music Room, because there's Malay Dance. Went to our lit room aka the humanities room to meet with the rest. I think all's good! :D

Slacked and waited for our turn, practise and stuffs. I need to remember not to any-how any-how turn, alamak *smacks forehead*!

Shermin got cheese fries! :D Hohoho.

Then after a few more practise, Kerla & I left for TM because she needa to go to Mango. Cleared my locker. So much things to carry. Should have cleared it earlier, dang.

Took 31. Bought her stuffs then we left. 

Tomorrow is gonna be a great day. :)

I went to school feeling damn light because of my bangs! HAHA. 

Went to the AVA to get back our scripts. 

I'm not that happy with my English Paper 2 Compre.

I'm not that happy with my English Paper 1 Compo.

I'm happy with my English Paper 2 summary :D

I'm happy with my English Paper 1 Letter-writing :D

I'm kinda happy with my overall mark (67.3%) :D

I'm not happy with my EMaths because I only got 50/80 for my EMaths Paper 1.

But I'm happy with my Emaths Paper 2 because it pulled me up and I still got an A2 :D

I'm happy with my Amaths because I PASSED!!!! SO I THINK MY OVERALL FOR THE YEAR ALSO PASS!!! !! But I'm not happy with getting 63.5 only. 

I'm happy with Chinese Oral + LC BECAUSE IT TOTALLY PULLED MY OVERALL UP! Like I failed my chinese compo AND paper 2 please like omg, so yes I PASSED WITH A B4! AH-MAZING! 

I'm also very happy because the school is planning on a Chinese Heritage Centre visit for the Chinese students only, and I WON'T BE GOING because of the NZ trip!!!!! :D

Okay, then after recess, we got back Science papers. 

& walao for my Physics Section B, I failed okay! My A & C so nice, then B score so low!!!!!!! Then Chem also very disappointing!! But for both Physics & Chem I got B4, so my overall mark for Science is B4. 

Then we headed to the hall to for Humanities papers. & wheeee I love my marks for both the essay part of papers. 21/25 & 23/25 for Ss & History respectively! :D

I'm not happy because my SS SBQ pulled me down, but overall I still got an A2! :D

I need need need MUST buck up for my SBQs. ):

So the only paper I didn't get back was Literature. From what I've heard, not many passes. Hmmmm, but I'm very sure I wrote quite a lot to be able to pass, I hope.

A mixture of feeeelings. Aiyoh.

Then after school was the Inter-CCA bowling. So I missed the Maths & NE Trail. 

Before we board the bus it was all very fun. Played Stress with Aqilah in the canteen using Marcus's cards. Then we had a chat with Ms Goh, and Mr Yap too, who saw my smiley face sticker on my badge, and asked me to remove it, lol.

So we reached NSRCC, and marked our attendence and we had to pay for our own shoes, but it was very worth it. :)

So for Choir, there were Lina, Try, Derick & me! No matter how we scored, we were just cheering each other on, yeah! We get to play two free rounds of bowling! Whoo :)

Then it was the prize-giving ceremony, then we board the bus back to school. Jy was still in school lol. Left the school with her and Tay.

Actual performance at Bedok CC today. It feels weird to be waking up at the normal time (read: 6am) and wearing your school uniform on a friggin' Sunday morning. (Ack my 12-hrs must have sleep!)

Waited for Joey at the bus stop, Amanda & Qy waited with me, and then we headed to the CC together. Then after a while we hang around, slacked and stuffs, left our bags in one of the holding rooms, and then we were told to go on the stage with our ties. We rehearsed for one round, before the Guest-Of-Honour came. I didn't catch his name. Later, when the GOH arrived, we got started with the actual thing.

& the scariest thing ever happened - This girl from BGPS (a row of BGPS students were standing in front of us) vomitted after the first round of rehearsal. & later on, this girl, according to Try (who stood beside me :} ), was actually shivering and before she FAINTED! and she fell FORWARD off the stage! So she totally went *piak* or a *thud* on the ground and I know that my immediate reaction was to grab Eeting's hand, hahaha. The GOH still had the guts to say: "That girl just fell down, please give her a warm round of applause to wish her a speedy recovery" (or something along that line.) Scary no? We're all suspecting they have super low blood sugar or something along that line.

& then we were told to get off the stage, Diana, Eeting, Joey & I went to the toilet to change out of our uniform and into the green choir tee and then we left for the Mrt. It was still ONLY 8am, so early hahaha.

Headed to Marina Square for Mac brekky, but before that we cam-whored outside Giordano because the spotlights there are damn pretty especially since MS isn't completely opened yet, and did all the funny poses, lol. :D

After Mac brekky, we went outside MS and sat on the stairs and camwhoreeeee like mad (jumpshots ♥) and then headed back to get movie tickets for Meet Dave. 

Then went to Fourskin because the lovelies wanna get their beloved wallets, and all of them got it in different colours. Then Diana wasn't really happy with the glitter and all, so we went back to change it twice. 

Then we sit outside the toilet and camwhoreee again and we cam-whored till my Camel's outta battery! Prolly because I didn't charge it properly! Totally maxed it man!

Then we went to walk walk, and headed to watch the movie!! Super funny seh. Thumbs up! The whole cinema only has us 4 and a few others. Not even the whole cinema was filled. I guess we chose the right slot. :D

& here's a BIG Thankyou to Joeylovelove because she bought nachos + popcorns + coke for all 4 of us! ♥♥

Bedok CC today for the rehearsal of the National Day Observance Ceremony with the choir peeps and I met Joey + Amanda + Qy, then later Diana + Eeting + Clarissa came. :D

Then went off with Amanda + Shermin. after one round of rehearsal of standing under the hot sun and sweating profusely like shit, for SMRT Challenge 2008 Briefing. Met Angeline + Raymond & I hope your team loses! :D (Haha)

Then we went to Raffles City, and went to the Basement in search for food but we found a vvvvv cute bookshop and Shermin was telling me about her collection of all sorts of colours of pen! :D

Then went to Kopitiam and I had PepperLunch for lunch! It was damn shiok, with the sizzling hotplate of rice, chicken, CHEESE, Amanda's fish, and tons & tons of gossips! :D

Amanda the Sweetheart bought a heart-shaped balloon and we went walking around with it, & cam-whoring with it! 

Then around 3plus we took 16 home. Got so much off my chest! HAHA. Shermin alighted first. & Sweetheart & I talk talk talk till I realised I missed my stop!!! Lololol, dumb dumb.

Then changed to 12 because I don't want to wait for 15 at Parkwayyy. Weijie you owe me $20! I mean 20 cents!! HAHAHA.

So on Monday, during Choir, MS LEOW CAME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG so happy to see you I swear.

Tuesday, did experiment (Titration) during Chemistry and Jy & I failed. We kept changing the conical flasks so instead of the successful 2 trys everyone else did, we did like 4 failed attempts! (I remembered getting 4 conical flasks, that's why 4 failed attempts.) HAHAHA. We didn't get the light purplish-pink we're supposed to get. Instead we got this darker purple!! Once we didn't even get any colour, so it was just transparent!! So annoying tsk. Don't even know where or why we got wrong. -.-

& Phyics replaced CME because Mrs Lua wasn't here.

Then after school I went to da Clubhouse for a studieeeeeee dateeee w/ Ahtay and I'm proud of myself because if not I think I wouldn't have completed what I wanna complete. Kekeke.

Today is the day I felt like I brought my whole closet to school because I brought my uniform + tie + class tee + pe tee + pe shorts + fbt shorts & omg I also brought my AMaths + EMaths textbook to school, tsk tsk. & I BROUGHT IT HOME FOR TODAY TOO. -.-

Today is the first Choir practise after Enchanting Moments 08/SYF OC 08.

I only vaguely remembered that I was doing Amaths holiday homework as Mr Ngian were audtioning the rest and when it was my turn, he said I'm in Sop 2. Then when it was the rest's turns, Miaowen was also in Sop 2 (:D) ! Amanda went to Sop 1, Joey remained in Sop 2 :D

Hohoho, then after Choir, I went to Parkway with Joey to pay her phone bill. :D Then she took 15 home w/ me so she can changed to 33. :D

Youth day holiday on Monday which means no choir on Monday!!!!! YIPPPPEEEE!!!!!!!

P/s: SYF Opening Ceremony WAS DAAA BOMBSZXSZXSZXS!

SCHOOL HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED!


Yet it doesn't feel so because the damn choir rehearsals are still going on, especially since it's during curriculum time (!!!!) and thus we skipped lessons for today and will be doing so for tomorrow too.

Not that I'm upset about it or anything. (YES!! MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE SKIPPED CHINESE!!!)

Just that I'm afraid that we'll have a uberly hard time catching up!!!! That's my biggest nightmare.

Another nightmare would be doing the wrong steps !!!!!!!

Okay I should stop scaring myself, it's not helping me de-stress.

Anyhoo, Reasons to rejoice:-

1. CLASSROOM SYSTEM!!! I don't care if I grow fatter by staying in one classroom. Anyway for lessons like EMaths and Lit & History we still have to move around due to us all being split. -.- & thanks to the classroom system, I can have catfights with Jiayan (!!!!) HAHAHA.

2. THEY SWITCHED ON THE AIRCON DURING ASSEMBLY!!! Whoooo but it still doesn't feel that cold as in it still feels that warm so heck. & poking Zhenlu & Weijie damn funnnn :D :D

3. No more No 3. I still have yet to experience the full classroom system so I have no other reasons to rejoice. :D Guess I'll have to wait for next week!

This month is coming to an end in another week or so. Time has been zoom zoom zoom zoom jetting by so fast. (!!!!)

Time to charge my cammmcammmmzz!!

Add up, one and one together

SYF Opening rehearsals today at Bendemeer Sec. School, which thankfully felt kind of short!!

On the way there, there was a slight jam, and when we reached, we got our costumes! Really excited about them! It includes a very pretty cap, a reddish-pink/pinkish-red & white long sleeved shirt and (sort of) three-quarters white pants that has two huge pockets on its side so that we can store our poms poms, light sticks, and other props.

We were told to wear the white pants so that we can practice putting in and taking out our props. Heh this is really new! So exhilarating!

As usual, we had our short break and lunch, and ate a lot!

Something that set aside today's rehearsals from other rehearsals was that this choreographer, Mr Chia, came to teach us steps for this year's theme song, Synergy, for the finale, which we'll be accompanying Shawn Tok, the winner of the Campus Superstar 2. (Derick idolises him a lot!)

The steps are really fun to do! :D Hoho, another item for me to look forward too!

After that we went down to Bendemeer's Parade Square to perform in the sun. Thank goodness for the cap, if not we'll be "chao ta" for sure!

Covered all the six items and went back up to the hall for debrief, then we took the bus back to school, and we're finally dismissed!

On the way home, my sister called me to have dinner with her at Parkway Parade. So I got home and changed and then left for Parkway Parade!

We had Sakae Sushi's Teppanyaki! It was my virgin visit to that place. It's amazing seeing the chefs cook for you, right in front for you!

We ordered too much food and ended up taking away some of the sushi. (hehe)

We walked around the shopping mall for a while after that, getting daily necessities from Giant. Then headed home via bus. :D

Short post:

Back from Performing Arts Camp! Which wasn't really a camp because we the organizing committees didn't really do cheers, and though we were all supposed to be in different groups for all the different CCAs involved, we still stick together as one CCA. So it kinda defeats the purpose of naming it a 'camp'.

Anyhoos, did enjoyed myself a lot with the choir peeps especially Ahtay, Diana, Miaowen, Qiongyue, Gladys, and everyone else. HAHAHA. Details on that laterz!!!

Food were okay, just that I think the BBQ food weren't that cooked so I had a huge tummyache during Choir practise/poker session (HAHAHA) today. Should have been more careful though!!

This is meant to be a short post so I'll go into details laterzzz!!!

Performing Arts Camp 2008

Event: Performing Arts Camp!
Venue: Bedok View Sec. School
Date: 16 & 17th June 2008
CCAs involved: Band, Choir, Angklung Guzheng, Drama Club
Objectives:

1. To prepare and rehearse for the Enchanting Moments 2008
2. To strengthen bonds and encourage interaction between members of the different performing arts groups
3. To build a sense of belonging towards the performing arts.

The very first thing we did for Camp was to leave our belongings at our respective bunks. Choir girls had their bunks at D2-05, then had our individual practises.

9am: For Enchanting Moments, we'll be doing 3 items - Take These Wings, When I Close My Eyes, & Stopping By Woods. These three songs were by our previous conductors and I'm really glad we can sing them again even though Nr Ngian is conducting us. He wasn't here for these two days rehearsals though. So the chairman Gladys conduct, while Lina, the vice-chairman, accompanied us with the piano.

12pm: Lunch. We had beehoon with chicken wing and fish fillet. Though the food is cold already, it's still nice! :D

2pm: Combined rehearsals in the hall. Such rehearsals are always such a chore. The waiting time is long, some of us actually fell asleep (haha). We went through the entire sequence twice. Since we couldn't rehearse at VCH itself, we had to pretend the hall is the actual stage.

I remembered us Choir competing for SYF Competition just last year at VCH. The experience was really great! We gave it our best shot, though not expecting the Gold award, we were very contented with getting a Bronze! :D

5.30pm: Games time! The Games I/c - Lenis and Gladys - prepared some games.

The first game:

Crab

Duration: 20 minutes
Explanation: 2 minutes
Items needed: Raffia String, stop watch
Objective: To build teamwork within the groups
Venue: Parade Square
Instructions:
- Stand in a straight line. Tie your right leg to the left leg of the person after you with the raffia string given.
- Stand behind the line, with the first person’s side to the line.
- Complete the game by moving to the end line, with everyone crossing the line, and TURN back until everyone crosses the line again.

The second game was H20, which involves a lot of running as one has to tag and catch other people.

7pm: Dinner was BBQ, which was so much fun! Since I don't have a group due to being the Vice Chairman of the organizing committee of the Camp, I went around to other groups' pits and stole their food! Haha.

Each group had a box of cooked fish-balls, a box of marinated chicken wings, and a packet of satays. Really like the way Gladys' group barbecued the chicken wings! :D

Throughout the BBQ, there was lightning and thunder, just no rain. Lucky us!

Halfway, a few others sneaked out of school, and bought bubble teas from the nearby SweetTalk at the market! For once, the drink really tasted like heaven, for we were all thirsty from all the BBQ food.

Then some of us sat down in the middle of nowhere and simply talked. So much fun! :D

Around 10pm, everyone start to clear up the area. Then we headed to shower! The BBQ sure made us stink!

The queue was very long, but with friends whom I can talk with, it didn't seem long!

After shower was free time all the way, till lights out at 12 midnight. Yet some of us weren't sleepy at all, so we stayed up to just talk about girly stuffs. I really love those talks!

In the end, we all fell asleep at 2am!

The next morning, we woke up at 7am, brushed our teeth and get ready to gather downstairs.

7.30am: Had a morning workout, that was just walking around the school for one round. Then it was breakfast! We had milo and bread, and kaya & peanut butter to spread with.

9am: After breakfast was individual practices, which was going through the three songs that we'll be performing.

Poor Gladys, who lost her voice due to all the shouting.

12pm: Lunch. Instead of beehoon, we had nasi lemak rice. :D Not bad still!

2pm: Combined rehearsals in the hall. There was a change in sequence.

Surprisingly, we were told that we could be dismiss after one round of rehearsals! You could hear sounds of joy and laughters as we left the hall. :D


Overall, this camp wasn't really a camp because there wasn't any cheers, not even a simple food cheer or group cheers. What matters most is we get to rehearse with all the CCAs present to put up an amazing show that's worth $10 for the Enchanting Moments 2008 at VCH!

I've learnt that, friends are a great way to ease boredom! Especially by playing card games! :D I love my friends to the maximum!

SYF Opening rehearsals yesterday and today.

Miaowen and I were late by half an hour yesterday, because we took our own sweet time. (Hehe)

It was held at Pasir Ris Crest Sec. School. Really glad there's air-conditioning in their hall.

It's tiring, but we have enough breaks to recharge our energy. We have one break at 11am, lunch break at 1pm, another short one. I think we ate alot, it's portions are very big.

I'm really really excited about the final product!! It's about less than three weeks away to the performance!! Hopefully with more practises and rehearsals we'll be perfect and the best item throughout the parade!!

I've learnt that, it's best not to give up. One have to perservere to make something out of nothing. We've come a long way! Yet the the road is still long and we still have a long way to go!
With more discipline and teamwork, we're gonna rock the whole stadium yo! :D

Choir practise today from 1pm to 4pm, though it actually started at 2pm.

The practises for these few days are in preparations for the visit from CCAB (Co-Curricular Activities Branch). The conductor for our SYF Opening, Ms Lim and the formation instructor, Mr Seow, are coming to Bedok View tomorrow to teach us the formations for the dance, and to make sure we know the steps well, so that when we have the combined rehearsals with other schools' choir on the 2nd & 3rd June, we wouldn't embarrass ourselves.

The last time we had the combined rehearsals on the 20th May, it was held in our school hall, and it was very very hot! I'm very glad we have the air-conditioned Music Room for our own individual practices.

We, including the other schools' choirs, will be dancing and singing along to six items, with all sorts of props. It's something like what one will see during National Day Parade - the combined schools' choir. It's such acts that requires a whole lot of manpower to 'wow' the audiences and most importantly, the VIPs.

I've learnt that, for such performances, what really makes it work, is when everyone does their part and cooperate, their passion and teamwork . The teamwork that everyone contributes adds up to a lot and by giving it their best shot, the performance would be really great! Just by having a smile to show that you're enjoying what you're doing also makes the audiences enjoy.

This is not my first time doing such performances. I remembered during Sec 1, when I first joined Choir, this was what we did too - the combined schools' choir. We had rehearsals at the Kallang Stadium, under the scorching hot sun. For some time, we were all very tan and "chao-ta". Joey, another Choir member, always brought sun block and we'll apply it on the coach on the way to the Kallang Stadium to prevent sunburnt. :)

Those were the times, now that we're performing in the Singapore Indoor Stadium, there'll be no more sunburns and more active sweat glands! (Haha)

Really looking forward to performing our items! Can't wait for the 27th June!
