THE CLICK FIVE - MODERN MINDS AND GREAT TIMES WORLD TOUR CONCERT

This is the long-awaited, delayed, outdated, topic-starter post that I've been procrastinating to blog about because there's so much to talk about and I know that I'll take FOREVER due to me not being able to stick to one thing and I'll end up bloghopping and neglecting the post and because I still don't have all the pictures from the other 2 cammmmcammmzz but it's okay because Miaowen the babelicious had sent it to me via Sharing Folders & I already copied from Clarissa's blog & you my dear bloghoppers can always hop to Clarissa's & Miaowen's blogs to check it out yo!

Thumbs up to Sharing Folders! pleased

BEFORE "THE CLICK FIVE - MODERN MINDS AND GREAT TIMES WORLD TOUR CONCERT"

I was getting ready to head out, packing my 2D1N little-getaway-sleepover with my Crumpler bag, at Miaowen's house, thinking about why do we need to have Choir on a Monday, at a ungodly hour of 7.15am, and making sure I'm appropriately dressed for the occasion, for the much-anticipated event that for many, many times, Miaowen & I have been trying to win tickets, via Lime, Teens, Teenage, 987fm and whatnot, in hope that we could get the Meet & Greet Passes, but sadly no! We're not that lucky. Even though Miaowen's mum bought the $68 tickets already after knowing Miaowen's results, we were still holding our hopes high so that we could even sold the tickets and earn some ka-chings (read: $$$$$$$$$ for the both of us).

Left the house at 5.00pm and rang Clarissa up, and to my shock, she was already on the train and the next stop is Eunos, the platform we planned to meet!!!!! Saw that bus 155 was on its way, so I told her to wait for me at Paya Lebar instead, though I have to walk a huge distance because that area was under construction since, forever. Luckily I found another route to the train station and saved me quite a distance! Phew.

Looked up, and surprisingly there's this girl, with her long hair let down, and skinny as a pole, WAVED AT ME!!!!!!! Thinking that it's Clarissa, gave her a ring and asked is it her. Obviously right, but I wasn't confirmed so I didn't wave back, sorry!

Reached the platform, and just missed the train! Clarissa told me to call Miaowen and asked her about dinner, whether we'll be taking away to her house or something else. Told her that we're at the Paya Lebar platform waiting for train and hung up.

Upon reaching Aljunied MRT Station, we had Miaowen running towards us and then saying, "I have to top-up my brother's ezlink card!". She did what she had to and we waited for her. Then we headed for a coffee shop nearby to take away food up to her house to have our dinner. I had curry chicken! Not bad! We went up to her house, and enjoyed our dinner with the air-con switched on!

Miaowen's mum came home early from grocerry shopping and we left the house soon after.

Walked briskly to the 16 bus stop where I was saying we definitely had to cross the over-head bridge.

Alighted directly outside the Singapore Indoor Stadium & I vaguely remembered the times I've been here was to watch Disney On Ice with the cousins and family. We collected our free(!) Click Five Posters which are very unlimited as only the first few people who bought the tickets get to have the poster!

We entered by the North Entrance though our tickets says East and the security people check our belongings. Then this lady was asking us if wanted to join their membership and that we'll have free Cds if we signed up on the spot. I didn't think that it'll come handy and that the membership is free (!) so we didn't sign up. Plus, Clariss'a mum already had the card, so no point to sign up.

Found our seats, and we were seated by 7.15pm, which was very early because the concert starts at 8pm. I was seated beside Clarissa, and Clarissa's other side was Miaowen, so it goes like: Yours Truly - Clarissa - Miaowen. Lucky Clarissa got to sit in the middle! We were bored while waiting and took pictures of ourselves. The $98 tickets standing area was quite packed, with all the adoring fans up and front. I betcha they must have come super duper uber early to get such upfront, close and personal to the stage. However, this didn't made me regret not getting $98 ones because by the time we reached, half of the standing area was filled and I don't think it's comfortable standing/jumping throughout the concert, trying to tip-toe to see the stage.

Waited and waited, and Miaowen was asking, "Ahgwee! If some hot guy sit beside you i change place with you okay?". Then I went like, "Tsk! No way!" (Haha.) But sadly, 3 girls sat beside me instead. Awww, no hot guys by our side.

Another 3 seriously obsessed-mad-crazy-(insert any word to define mad/crazy/obsess) girls sat beside Miaowen and they were all damn high-strung, shouting profanities at the $98 people who were high-ing because they were being shot the cameramen doing mini-waves, and at anyone else they were displeased with. I had never seen such crazy fans before.

While we were anticipating the start of the concert, there was this girl seating somewhere a row behind us went screaming, "Amanda! We have backstage passes!". She was apparently trying to make this 'Amanda' person feel jealous and well, whoever who heard her screaming, practically the whole lot of people, would be jealous. I know we all did, and the :O on everyone's faces, including ours says it all. (Read: Jealousy jealousy - One of the seven greatest sins!)

Then there was an announcement at 8.05pm (!!!!! THEY WERE LATE!!!!) that the concert would start in FIFTEEN minutes (!!!! THEY WERE LATE AND THEY STILL DELAY IT SOME MORE!!! OUTRAGEOUS!!!!). They made so many crazy & obsessed fans wait for them. Boo. But they are VIPs, so no matter waiting for a while more for them.

DURING "THE CLICK FIVE - MODERN MINDS AND GREAT TIMES WORLD TOUR CONCERT"

The entire Indoor Stadium turned pitched black, and the lights were only focused on the white cloth that covered the stage. It was kinda frustrating because they were only making you anticipate them more, and it was only a slideshow introducing the Click Five counterparts?!

Then the cloth dropped and revealed...... THE CLICK FIVE!!!!!!!!!!! The crowd were HIGH and HYSTERICAL! NO MORE ANTICIPATION!! (But I was wrong!!) No doubts about it, I know we three were too. Especially Miaowen's because the lead singer, Kyle Patrick, on the stage is her future husband!!! -*winks*

Kyle Patrick opened the show with his deep, powerful vocals. With steady, strong tones, the show kicked off with "Flipside," one of many catchy ditties in The Click Five's repertoire. Although, what showed off Kyle's impressive vocals were the slower tempo songs. With a slight vibrato to his rich vocals that would make any choir teacher proud, "Empty" sounded like a pitch-perfect studio rendition, except live.

What was particularly enjoyable was the segment where Kyle introduced each member of The Click Five. Each got to show off their mad skills at the various instruments they play. Affectionately termed the "Mad Scientist" of The Click Five, Ben Romans, with wild hair and flailing arms, tumbling all over and tinkling on his upside-down keyboard, was truly a hoot. The man who makes you "feel it in your bones," Ethan Mentzer, lives up to his name, playing soulful bass like there's no tomorrow. Joe Guese thrilled with his nimble fingers running expertly along his guitar, while Joey Zehr's lightning-fast drum beats resounded amidst flashing stage lights. My favourite has to be Joey Zehr!!

We were treated to sincere, earnest proclamations of how much the band loved every moment on the Singapore stage (When Kyle was introducing "All I Need Is You", he said "All we need is Singapore". Awwwwwwww), and a good, old-fashioned hour and a half of scream-your-lungs-out instrumentals and vocals.

Musicians like them are not what you'll get to see everyday, live! Yeah, you see them on the screen, on the posters, on magazines, in their music videos, in the Net, but for the first time in your life, they are live on stage, performing FOR YOU, rockin' the whole stadium with their music and their moves, hyping up the whole crowd. It made me regret not getting the tickets to the other concerts, like Maroon 5, Linkin Park, Simple Plan, Gwen Stefani, Jay Chou and so much much more.

The Click Five played a few new tracks, that's not yet on the records. They're quite nice! One was written by Ethan and sang by Kyle. My my, I can't wait for their new album!

About halfway or three-quarter throughout the concert, they all LEFT THE STAGE!!!! It was pitch-black and all. Worst thing was they haven't played JENNY, the first single of their second album, and also the song Miaowen wanted us to stand together! So the three of us started shouting and screaming, "We want more! We want more! Jenny! Jenny! Jenny!" It wasn't only us, the rest of the fans started too. I tell you, they are only trying to manipulate our minds by making us want them more, some publicity gimmick so that we'll crave for them, and make us anxious for nothing, Sad to say, it worked! They didn't mention it's the end of the concert, and the lights weren't switched on for us audiences to go out, so it must have been a very very short break for the Click Five, so when they came back, the atmosphere resumed and it was all good!

They performed "Jenny", & ended with "Headlight Disco", with many disco balls hanging!! All the people were standing up now, jumping to the music! I couldn't have more fun!

The concert ended at last, and I bet none of us wished it would. Overall, I think they sounded better LIVE, mainly because they're having so much fun and giving it their best shot.

AFTER "THE CLICK FIVE - MODERN MINDS AND GREAT TIMES WORLD TOUR CONCERT"

Quickly left the stadium, then went to search for the Click Five, hoping that we could get a glimpse of them. Then Miaowen brought us to this place, where we waited outside a particular holding room only to be rejected by the authorized personels that only those who has Meet&Greet/Backstage passes could enter!

Then we went to find the ladies, and didn't search the Indoor Stadium thoroughly enough, so we went on the Kallang Leisure Park for the ladies. It's new!!! (Pss, I want to go ice-skating! Hope it's almost the same as roller-blading, and that hopefully I can adjust and adapt to it!)

Then after that we left the shopping centre and took bus 16 to KFC, because Clarissa was hungry and I was craving for cheese fries! After queuing for sme time while gossiping with Clarissa, the person said there's only Fish Zinger and the large Popcorn Chicken left (read: NO CHEESE FRIES LEFT!!!)!!!!!! Then we left, and went to Macs, since it's only the opposite. Thank god it's 24/7!! So I shared the McNuggets Student's Meal with Miaowen the babelicious since I wasn't that hungry, and since we couldn't finish one whole meal. We were thinking how we were going to consume the supper since we don't have the pleasure to sit down and chill (read: too late to be having fun already) and I was thinking of asking the cab driver to let us eat in his cab and why not?

This was the part where even though my girlies were freaking out trying to get home, I still remained in a peace state of mind, that was calmly thinking of alternatives for us to get home.

So we started flagging cabs everywhere we went, which was this circular junction, not exactly squarish/rectangular-ish due to all the on-going constructions, that cabs come in all directions irregularly, but they were ALL OCCUPIED!!!!!!! So we this was where Miaowen starting flagging cabs with one hand and eating fries in another, Clarissa was having her McChicken and fries in both hands, and I was asking Clarissa to help me open the packet of mayonnaise so I can enjoy my McNuggets. (hahahaha)

Then we walked around in circles a lot more, avoiding secluded places which practically was hard to do because everywhere was deserted and empty ( ♪ Maybe we're trying/Trying too hard/Maybe we're torn apart/Maybe the timing/Is beating our hearts/We're empty ♪ ) , avoiding that construction site that was making weird sounds which sounded weirdly like a wild boar(?!!) which freaked da girlies out a lot, then we ended up at this road that has a few blocks of HDB flats and a bus stop that has Clarissa's 12, but that's besides the point. And at this point in time, we've already finished our foood!!!! This proved that 1. we are fast eaters, and 2. Taxis are seriously senile.

Clarissa called her mum to inform her that she'll be home much later due to the lack of available cabs that could bring us safely home. Wasn't there to listen to the full conversation.

A stupid taxi was available passed by us and just as we thought we could finally go home, the stupid taxi passed us and changed it's sign to busy!!! :O

Then Miaowen started flagging this cab that was not your every day cab and and it just made a U-turn, so we thought it was really a cab, yet it turned out to be a POLICE VAN! WHICH ALSO IGNORED US ALL THE SAME!!!! So much for being teenagers that ain't suppose to be out after 11pm.

Finally, at long last, this cab stop for us!!! If I wasn't wrong, the time we board the cab was around 11.20-11.40pm? That's very late, but at least we board it before 12 mn, before extra midnight charges that will burn a big, big whole in our pockets!!

So we reached Miaowen's home safely, since I'm sleeping over at her house Took a shower while Miaowen the babelicious helped me to arrange the sleeping bag & cushions she lent me for da night, and even killed a cockroach that was behind her study table!!! Then it was her turned to bathe, and I scanned through the pictures in her camera, weary of the cockroach and all, and when she came out, we browsed through magazines and gave Clarissa a ring to make sure she's home, then we gossiped, about celebs like Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz who were engaged (& I must say they're the hottest couple ever!!), while browsing through HOT magazines, and Teens, and we gossiped more, then Miaowen switched off the lights and we're off to lala-land, which wasn't very long thanks to the Choir which starts at 7.15am!

Can't believe all the drama-mama we've been through. All the ups & downs. Seriously!! Hopefully the next concert we'll be watching would be the Jonas Brothers, that is if they're even coming to Singapore.! :D

1st June 2008 marked a special opening to the month, and it was a day of fun, joy and laughter. It might not hold a special meaning to you, but it held and still holds a special meaning to all those who were at the Indoor Stadium that night, and it definitely held an importance to Miao Wen, Jazmyne and myself.
Uh huh, Clarissa you got that right! Really really glad it was these two babes that I spent my night together with. They both are really great friends that I trust in BV.

I've learnt that, going to the rock concert can be so much fun (and expensive too!)! I definitely learnt that it's best not to bring too much things because one will probably be jumping to the tunes and wouldn't be bothered with its belongings.

Can't wait to save enough money and go to another concert! :D

BEFORE "THE CLICK FIVE - MODERN MINDS AND GREAT TIMES WORLD TOUR CONCERT"

I was getting ready to head out, packing my 2D1N little-getaway-snoozeover in my Crumpler baby, at Miaowen's cribz, thinking about why do we need to have Choir on a friggin' Monday, at a ungodly hour of 7.15am, and making sure I'm appropriately dressed for the occasion, for the much-anticipated event that for many, many times, Miaowen & I have been trying to win tickets, via Lime, Teens, Teenage, 987fm and whatnot, in hope that we could get the Meet & Greet Passes, but sadly no! We're not that lucky. Even though Miaowen's mum bought the $68 tickets already after knowing Miaowen's results, we were still holding our hopes high so that we could even sold the tickets and earn some ka-chings (read: $$$$$$$$$ for the both of us), lol. I think my black skinnies & that top don't go with my Crumpler baby. So I brought along a clutch. Thank god.

Left the house at 5.00pm and rang Clarissa up, and to my shock, she was already on the train and the next stop is Eunos, the platform we planned to meet!!!!! Saw that 155 was on its way, so I told her to wait for me at Paya Lebar instead, though I have to walk a huge distance because that area was under construction since, forever.

HAHAHA. Obviously right. But I wasn't confirmed so I didn't wave back, lol. Sorry!

Reached the platform, and just missed the train! Clarissa told me to call Miaowen and asked her about dinner, whether we'll be tabao-ing to her cribz, or whatnot. Told her that we're at the Paya Lebar platform waiting for train and hung up. I don't remember what Clarissa was telling me on the way to Aljunied, lol.

Upon reaching Aljunied MRT Station, we had Miaowen running towards us and then saying, "I have to top-up my brother's ezlink card!". She did what she had to and we waited for her. Then we headed for a coffee shop nearby to tabao food up to her house to have our dinner. I had curry chicken! Not bad! We went up to her house, with her brother locking himself in the room (he's always like that, lololol) while we enjoyed our dinner with the air-con switched on! Shiok! I was the last one to finish, lol.

Then we spend a good half an hour or so in the master bedroom's toilet and dolled ourselves up prettily, with Clarissa the superwoman's eyeliner, and Miaowen the babelicious's lip gloss, & cam-whored after we're done! (This is Cam-whore Session #1.) You tell me, you wouldn't want to look bad and old Plain Jane in front the love your life (read: which ever Click Five counterpart you're obsess and crazy in love with and wants them to notice you), so the smart thing to do would be to look damn great & gorgeous to grab their attention!

Cam-whore Session #2 took place in Miaowen's bedroom, and we got the world map as the background yo! Miaowen's mum came home early from grocerry shopping and Miaowen showed her the make-up and we quickly left the house after that to prevent the impending naggings from her mum, lololol. But the brudder unlocked himself from the room and commented negatively on Miaowen's make-up! Grrrr. She, or rather we 3 are not what he thinks lor. Tsktsk.

Walked briskly to the 16 bus stop where I was saying we confirm + chop that we have to cross the over-head bridge. Clarissa was very very freaked out by this prostitute who had on a very very thick make-up. (Read her blog for details on this!) Cam-whore Session #3 occured in the bus. Seriously I don't mind people staring, but it's the uneasiness that'll take place in your heart, mind and soul that you'll feel really really insecure when people are staring, and paranoia fear takes over, and that's it.
But when you're not alone, when you're with friends who don't give a damn and stands by you, you just do whatever that pleases you. No?

Alighted directly outside the Singapore Indoor Stadium & I vaguely remembered the times I've been here was to watch Disney On Ice with the cousins and family. Clarissa was saying she's hungry (-.-) & that Keith went to Angela Chang's concert at Expo(?), lol. Collected our free(!) Click Five Posters which are very unlimited as only the first few people who bought the tickets get to have the poster. It is of no use to me because I'm not those type who hangs posters up on my walls and the poster will prolly be thrown away by Mama the next time we do spring-cleaning (so on Tuesday in a moment of impulse I gave it to Lina during Choir since she treasured it more than me LOL).

We entered by the North Entrance though our tickets says East (lol) and the security people check our belongings. Thank god nothing was confiscated. Then this lady was asking us if wanted to join some membership thingy and that we'll have free Cds if we signed up on the spot. I didn't think that it'll come handy and that the membership is free (!) so we didn't sign up. Plus, Clariss'a mum already had the card, so no point to sign up.

Found our seats, (and there's the Red Hand) and we were seated by 7.15pm, which was damn early because the concert starts at 8pm. I was seated beside Clarissa, and Clarissa's other side was Miaowen, so it goes like: Yours Truly - Clarissa - Miaowen. Lucky Clarissa got to sit in the middle! We were bored while waiting and cam-whored for the #4th & #5th time. The $98 tickets standing area was quite packed, with all the adoring fans up and the front. Betcha they must have come super duper uber early to get such upfront, close and personal to the stage. However, this didn't made me regret not getting $98 ones because by the time we reached, half of the standing area was filled and it's NOT comfortable standing/jumping throughout the concert, trying to tip-toe to see the stage, seriously.

Waited and waited, and Miaowen was asking, "Ahgwee! If some hot guy sit beside you i change place with you okay?". Then I think I went like, "Tsk! No way!" HAHAA. But sadly, 3 girls sat beside me instead.

Siaozharborxsszxs, totally.

There was this really cute guy with nice hair and in green tee that we three were ga-ga over with!!!!! He looked nice from afar. HAHA who knows how he's like if he's near. Definitely defeats the purpose of us ga-ga-ing over him. Thanks to the very very bad lighting and bad zooming in of the cameras, the picture we secretly took of him seem sooo blurrrrrrrr (well that's from Clarissa's blog). A while later there was two green-tee guys sitting on the floor and Clarissa thought it was the other not-cute-at-all-one I was pointing out. HAHAHA.

No doubts about it, I know we three were too. Especially Miaowen's because the guy (read: Kyle Patrick) on the stage is her husband!!! -*winks*

The Click Five played a few new tracks, that's not yet on the records. They're quite nice! One was written by Ethan and sang by Kyle, whooo I can't wait for their new album!

At one point, Clarissa said Miaowen shouted "I love Patrick!", and I in reply said: "I love Spongebob!" HAHAHA okay no link here whatsoever, but it's really crazy how high we all were.

About halfway or three-quarter throughout the concert, they all LEFT THE STAGE!!!! It was pitch-black and all. Worst thing was they haven't played JENNY, the song Miaowen wanted us to stand together! So the three of us started shouting and screaming, "We want more! We want more! Jenny! Jenny! Jenny!" HAHAHA. It wasn't only us, the rest of the fans started too. I tell you, they are only trying to manipulate our minds by making us want them more, some publicity gimmick so that we'll crave for them, make us anxious for nothing, tsk tsk. Sad to say, it worked! Because they didn't mention it's the end of the concert, and the lights weren't switched on for us audiences to go out, so it must have been a very very short break for the Click Five, so when they came back, the atmosphere resumed and it was all goood.

The concert ended at last, and I bet none of us wished it would. Overall, I think they sounded better LIVE, mainly because they're having so much fun and giving it their best shot.

And you know what, Joey, the friggin' hot drummmer that melted me on the spot, THREW HIS DRUMSTICKS (like what Miaowen posted, not chicken!) TO THE $98 PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG THAT DAMN PERSONAL THANG, & HE THREW IT TO THE CROWD!!!!! I seriously don't care if he did it for his other concerts, but he used those drumsticks to perform, FOR US, FOR ME, FOR THAT VERY CONCERT I WENT TO (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

AFTER "THE CLICK FIVE - MODERN MINDS AND GREAT TIMES WORLD TOUR CONCERT"

Quickly left the stadium, whining to the gfs about the drumsticks(!!!!!!!!!!!!!), then went to search for the Click Five, hoping that we could get a glimpse of them. Then Miaowen brought us to this place, where we waited outside a particular holding room only to be rejected by the authorized personels that only those who has Meet&Greet/Backstage passes could enter, and they were giving it away on Friendster a few days/weeks back!!!!! Wtf.

Then after that we left the building, taking 16 to KFC, because Clarissa was hungry and I was craving for cheese fries (again!). After queuing for 2193208754835 donkey years (while gossiping with Clarissa, lol) the person said there's only Fish Zinger and the large Popcorn Chicken left (read: NO CHEESE FRIES LEFT!!!)!!!!!! Pfft, then we left, and went to Macs, since it's only the opposite. Thank god it's 24/7!! HAHA.

Then this was the part where I did not let my alter ego take over me.

Then Miaowen started flagging this cab that was not your every day cab and and it just mad a U-turn, so we thought it was really a cab, yet it turned out to be a POLICE VAN! WHICH ALSO IGNORED US ALL THE SAME!!!! So much for being teenagers that ain't suppose to be out after 11pm. They should be fired for driving pass us without even thinking of stopping for us!!

Finally, at long last, this cab stop for us!!! If I wasn't wrong, the time we board the cab was around 11.20-11.40pm? That's super late, but at least we board it before 12 mn, before extra midnight charges that will burn a big big whole in our pockets!!

So we reached Miaowen's home safely, since I'm snoozing over at her cribz! Took a shower while Miaowen the babelicious helped me arrange the sleeping bag & cushions she lent me for da night, and even killed a cockroach that was behind her study table!!! Then it was her turned to bathe, and I scanned through the peeetures/chas in her cammmmcammmzz, weary of the cockroach and all, and when she came out, we browsed through magazines and gave Clarissa a ring to make sure she's home, then we gossiped, about celebs like Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz who were engaged (& I must say they're the hottest couple ever!!), while browsing through HOT magazines, and Teens, and we gossiped more, then Miaowen switched off the lights and we're off to lala-land, which wasn't very long thanks to the Choir which starts at 7.15am!!!!!! Couldn't work out the plan we had for the night. Who knew we'll be home so late?

Can't believe all the drama-mama we've been through. All the ups & downs. Seriously!! Hopefully the next concert we'll be watching would be the Jonas Brothers, that is if they're even coming to Singapore.! :D

1st June 2008 marked a special opening to the month, and it was a day of fun, joy and laughter. It might not hold a special meaning to you, but it held and still holds a special meaning to all those who were at the Indoor Stadium that night, and it definitely held an importance to Miao Wen, Jazmyne and myself.
Uh huh, Clarissa you got that right!

By the way, here's a big shoutout to da girlies who were with me on 1st June, from the moment I met Clarissa the superwoman at the Paya Lebar platform to the moment Miaowen the babelicious offed the lights that night: Love ya two to the maxxxxx and thank you both oh soooo soooooo muchhhhh for everything!!!!!!! It's definitely going to be a night I'll never forget!! heartheartheartheart
